Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Right of Way Agent in San Antonio or Corpus Christi to support real estate rights, easements, and related interests for infrastructure projects. You will engage in research, stakeholder coordination, and documentation to advance acquisitions.

You will gain mentorship from seasoned ROW professionals while developing skills in negotiations, title review, and regulatory compliance, with opportunities for growth and ownership within the firm.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in Right of Way, real estate, land services, or a related field.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Familiarity with title, eminent domain, zoning, and property valuation.
• Knowledge of right of way laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the right of way acquisition of easements, access rights, and other property interests for infrastructure projects.
• Conduct research and due diligence to identify property ownership, title issues, restrictions, encumbrances, and project impacts.
• Support development and implementation of right of way strategies and acquisition plans.
• Assist with negotiations and acquisition of real estate property rights and easements through professional communication.
• Prepare and review client documents such as contracts of sale, memoranda of agreements, leases, licenses, and conveyance documents.
• Coordinate with internal teams and client contacts to obtain engineering plans and surveys for acquisitions.
• Track acquisition schedules and project progress, addressing potential delays or issues.
