Job summary

Tierra Right Of Way Services Ltd seeks an entry-level Right of Way Agent to work on-site in our Albuquerque, NM office. You will receive formal training and support while handling title research, negotiations, and documentation for property rights.

Under supervision, you will prepare offers, review plans, and liaise with agencies to secure permits and agreements. Previous ROW exposure is beneficial, but strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience in the right of way industry including experience reading plans, understanding legal descriptions, reading title reports, and negotiating with property owners.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Valid real estate license in the state of assignment preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Obtains fee titles, easements, permits, agreements for utility, public and private projects.
• Negotiates with property owners and owner representatives for acquisition of necessary property rights.
• Reviews title reports and documents in preparation for negotiation activities.
• Contacts property owners and conducts negotiations to secure property rights.
• Reviews deeds, easements, plats, title reports and plans related to ROW projects.
• Writes legal descriptions and prepares maps, offer packages, and documents.
• Liaisons with agencies for permits, leases, agreements; assists in securing approvals.
• Assists in appraisals, title searches, and cost estimates for acquisitions.
• Negotiates with property owners for purchase, lease, donations, or easements; informs owners of rights and regulations.
