Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers, process transactions, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

This part-time role requires reliable team collaboration, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You’ll contribute to a welcoming environment and support daily store operations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or service industry is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
