Job summary

Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking an Entry-Level Repair Technician in Buffalo, NY. You will perform basic repairs on metal parts, following layouts, orders, blueprints and schematics, and work in a TEAM environment.

The role includes first shift hours, Monday through Friday, with an hourly starting wage of 24.39. Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds and pass drug and physical screens, with comprehensive benefits offered by Marmon.

Qualifications

• Stick welding is required.
• Read specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.
• Able to pass drug screen and physical.
• Shift: First Shift, Mon-Fri 06:30 a.m.–03:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs on metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, and sketches.
• Repair parts of rail cars and related components.
• Work in a TEAM environment and establish good working relationships at all levels.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Assist with other rail car repair related tasks as needed.
