Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking an Entry-Level Repair Technician in Buffalo, NY. You will perform basic repairs on metal parts, following layouts, orders, blueprints and schematics, and work in a TEAM environment.

The role includes first shift hours, Monday through Friday, with an hourly starting wage of 24.39. Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds and pass drug and physical screens, with comprehensive benefits offered by Marmon.

Qualifications

• Stick welding is required.
• Read specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.
• Able to pass drug screen and physical.
• Shift: First Shift, Mon-Fri 06:30 a.m.–03:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

Shift:

First Shift Only - Monday - Friday (06:30 a.m.-03:00 p.m.)

Job Requirements:

• Use a variety of tools and equipment such as pneumatic and hydraulic tools, grinders, jacks, welders, cutting torches, forklifts, and cranes.
• Stick welding - required.
• Mechanical experience preferred.
• Read specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Knowledgeable or willing to learn how to perform air brake test.
• The ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
• The ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.
• Ability to work within a teamwork environment with regular and predictable attendance.
• Keep materials area and other work areas clean and orderly and report potential hazards.
• Able to pass drug screen, physical.
