Job summary

Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a Repair Technician to support railcar repair and maintenance in a TEAM environment across North America. You’ll perform basic repairs on metal parts per layouts, blueprints, and work orders, read shop drawings, and use pneumatic and hydraulic tools, grinders, welders, and cutting torches.

The role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass drug screen and physical.
• Ability to read specifications, shop drawings, schematics and blueprints.
• Lift up to 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.
• Work in adverse weather conditions and in TEAM environments.

Responsibilities

• Repair parts of metal or other weldable materials per layouts and work orders.
• Perform rail car repair tasks and collaborate in a TEAM setting.
• Keep work areas clean, report hazards, and maintain safety practices.
• Utilize tools such as pneumatic/hydraulic devices, welders, torches, forklifts, and cranes.
