Transco Rail Services is seeking an Entry-Level Repair Technician in Buffalo, NY to perform basic repairs on metal parts and rail car components. The role requires reading layouts, work orders, blueprints, and sketches, and working safely in a team setting.

Shift is first shift only, Monday to Friday, 06:30 a.m.–03:00 p.m. The position offers an hourly wage starting at $24.39, with potential to grow through experience.

Qualifications

• Stick welding is required.
• Mechanical experience is preferred.
• Read specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Knowledgeable or willing to learn how to perform air brake test.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.
• Ability to work in a TEAM environment with regular attendance.
• Able to pass drug screen, physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs on metal or other weldable materials as directed by layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches.
• Repair parts of rail cars and related components in a team-oriented environment.
• Follow instructions and safety guidelines while using tools and equipment.
