Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Project Engineer to kick-start a career in project management on multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects. You will assist with estimating, scheduling and coordination within the design-build process, serving as an entry point to a PM career.

Responsibilities include supporting field labor, procurement, document control, and coordination with design teams, trades, and subcontractors, while developing budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
• 1–3 years related field experience.
• Basic cost reporting and PO entry skills.
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment and system operation.
• Ability to read mechanical and plumbing drawings.
• Ability to track equipment delivery logs.
• Proficient business writing and public speaking.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support field labor.
• Provide labor feedback.
• Procure equipment and subcontractors.
• Document control.
• Coordinate design, trade, and subcontractors.
• Assist in budget analysis and schedule development.
• Assist in developing project schedules.
