Southland Industries is seeking a Project Engineer to kickstart a career in project management. You will contribute to multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects, gaining experience in estimating, scheduling, and design within the design-build process.

Key responsibilities include evaluating changes, managing change orders, procuring equipment and services, and supporting subcontractor selection. You will stay current on industry trends and develop problem-solving skills as part of a

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in engineering or applicable experience.
• Basic ERP skills to include inquiring, reviewing and printing job cost reports.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing drawings.
• Basic verbal and written communications skills.
• Basic computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel.

Responsibilities

• Estimates the impact of project changes and provides information to applicable management.
• Manages change orders. Ensure they are completed accurately and tracked as required.
• Procures equipment and materials and services; and participates in the selection and hiring of subcontractors.
• Stays current on emerging trends.
• Analyzes and resolves basic questions and problems as needed.
