Job summary

CrossFire Group seeks a Product Quality Engineer in Toledo, OH for a 12-month contract (possible extension or direct hire). Entry level candidates are encouraged to apply. Pay rate is $25 to $27.58 per hour.

This role is focused on quality on the shop floor, with a mechanical mindset. You will represent the Voice of the Customer, support KPI management, review warranty/CQI claims, and lead improvements using FMEA and risk assessments across processes.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
• Proficient with MS Office and Google apps.
• Ability to analyze data to identify top issues and trends; communicate findings.
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills; able to convey complex concepts.
• Experience with problem solving tools and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Represent Voice of the Customer within the Assembly Plant.
• Support external quality KPI management and drive improvements and corrective actions.
• Review warranty/CQI claims; maintain issue stratification and warranty wall area.
• Lead improvement activities to meet quality targets using 4M considerations.
• Collaborate with Process Quality and other teams to ensure control plans are implemented.
• Map issues/defects using FMEAs and risk assessments; drive mitigation.
• Coordinate with internal/external resources to meet project timing.
• Escalate when necessary to protect product design and quality on the shop floor.
