Job summary

Payroc is seeking an enthusiastic entry-level Installer Technician to deploy and install our integrated payment process software solutions, hardware, and related equipment at client locations across Puerto Rico. This role delivers a white-glove experience with clear communication and meticulous installation execution.

Travel within Puerto Rico is required; the position offers opportunities to grow technical skills while supporting customers and teams in a fast-moving payments environment.

Qualifications

• Some knowledge of POS hardware and software.
• Understanding of business networks (wired and wireless) and peripherals like switches, routers, and printers.
• Basic understanding of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of internet connectivity (cable, DSL, dial-up).
• Excellent methodical approach and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Excellent verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.
• Some relevant experience working with technology systems or in technical support.
• Related experience in computer technical support or onsite technician experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install POS terminals, switches, and other hardware at client locations.
• Support network wiring and perform basic software configurations.
• Provide end-user training sessions to clients on equipment usage.
• Shadow senior technicians to learn troubleshooting for POS and network issues.
• Assist with remote and on-site technical support as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work using electronic systems.
• Provide friendly and professional assistance to clients during installations and follow-ups.
