Job summary

Montana Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking an entry-level plant operator. You will assist with daily plant operation and maintenance with training provided to grow into new roles or departments. The position offers overtime potential and a path for career growth within CRH.

Starting wage is $19+ per hour DOE, with benefits and opportunities for advancement as you gain experience across multiple plant functions.

Qualifications

• A strong desire to grow and willingness to learn and work a variety of tasks and equipment.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision and maintain a positive attitude.
• Safety minded professional with good performance, attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends/holidays as needed.
• Must conform to OSHA, MSHA, DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations.
• Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.
• Must have current US authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently within its designed parameters.
• Clean working areas around plant.
• Shovel excess materials from conveyors and other areas generating frequent buildup.
• Operate skid steer.
• Perform general clean-up and maintenance tasks (oil and grease plant equipment).
• Assist other departments with maintenance, operations, and/or other duties as assigned.
• Promptly communicate with supervisors on any flaws in material.
• Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
• Regular and timely attendance.
• Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.
