Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA, Inc. is seeking an entry-level plant operations assistant to support production across multiple roles in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Training will be provided to cover packaging, CIP/SIP, and equipment setup while you contribute to safe, accurate production records.

Ideal candidates will have basic math skills, strong work ethic, and ability to follow SOPs in detail. This hands-on role offers growth in dairy manufacturing and cross-training across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' work experience in food manufacturing or warehousing; dairy experience preferred.
• Good math skills and proficiency with standard computer software; SAP experience a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and reliable attendance.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of production equipment.
• Follow SOPs in detail without deviation.
• Set-up packaging coders and validate product codes.
• Identify and communicate out-of-specification product conditions.
• Perform routine equipment adjustments.
• Use of various hand tools and operate a lift truck.
• Accurately complete production records and documents.
• Assist with CIP/SIP, clean-up and equipment set-up.
• Product pasteurization in accordance with regulations.
• Perform department environmental controls.
• Cross-train with other departments.
• Support internal and external audits.
