Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join a collaborative service-focused pharmacy team.

You will help build strong relationships with patients and ensure safe, accurate, and efficient care, supporting pharmacists and teammates every day. This entry-level role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, eligibility to obtain pharmacy technician registration, and a commitment to HIPAA and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 0 to 6 months experience in a pharmacy setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy.
• Age at least 18 years.
• HIPAA and Pseudoephedrine compliance policies followed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and acknowledge them with compassion and a smile at all pharmacy entry points.
• Assist with processing orders in person and by phone, and direct questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain a neat and clean work environment to meet company and government requirements.
• Assist team members to ensure the department runs efficiently.
• Use pharmacy computer to complete actions for drop-off, will call, drive-thru, and order receiving.
• Transcribe data from prescriptions to generate customer labels.
• Maintain inventory by ordering, receiving, stocking and rotating drugs and supplies.
