Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Support role to assist with direct patient care and unit coordination. This position supports RNs in caring for both stable and acutely ill patients, performing basic nursing tasks, and maintaining patient safety and comfort on the inpatient unit.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic math and computer literacy, and the ability to document accurately in the EMR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.
• Preferred: acute care experience in last 3 years; enrolled in ASN/BSN with clinical rotations.

Responsabilités

• Provides/direct patient care and assists with routine tasks on the inpatient unit.
• Supports RN in care of acutely ill patients and coordination of admissions/discharges/transfers.
• Documents care, vital signs, O2, intake/output, and procedures in the EMR.
• Participates in unit activities, housekeeping, and supply management.
• Complies with HIPAA, safety, and hospital policies.
