Job summary

R1 RCM is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join our Ascension Seton Williamson location in Round Rock, TX. You’ll be the first point of contact, ensuring fast, compassionate access to care while navigating insurance and registration across multiple systems.

You’ll work Monday–Friday 5:30am–2:00pm in a frontline healthcare customer service role, with training provided. This position offers growth within a technology-driven revenue cycle organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Background check, drug test and vaccination requirements may apply.
• Experience with patient access, registration, or insurance verification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Register patients efficiently across multiple systems.
• Answer phones and collect accurate patient information quickly.
• Minimize registration delays and answer questions clearly and compassionately.
• Build trust with patients during stressful moments.
• Navigate insurance plans, collect co-pays, and provide cost estimates when applicable.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
• No healthcare background? Training is provided; great entry into healthcare.
