Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Patient Access professional to handle scheduling, preregistration, and financial clearance, ensuring accurate data for billing and positive patient experiences.

The role requires high school education, 1+ year in healthcare Revenue Cycle, and strong customer service abilities; familiarity with PC software is preferred. On-site position in Pittsburgh, PA with standard duties and responsibilities in patient access and related processes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of related healthcare Revenue Cycle experience, preferably within a financial clearance setting.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience operating PC and using software applications required.

Responsabilités

• Schedules, preregisters, verifies demographics and benefits, and ensures accurate data for timely billing submission.
• Verifies insurance information and payor authorization/referral requirements.
• Provides documentation and follow-up to physician offices and payors regarding deficiencies.
• Calculates estimates and collects patient liabilities in the ADT system; handles post-payment transactions as needed.
• Delivers positive patient experience and maintains relationships with patients, AHN leadership, staff, and external contacts.
• Maintains productivity standards and suggests process improvements when appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
