Job summary

River City Construction is seeking an entry level Overhead 3rd Class Lineman to assist in the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution lines and equipment. You will climb poles and towers, perform tasks on job sites, and help install or remove conductors and transformers under supervision.

You must have a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid Class A CDL, and be willing to travel.

Qualifications

1 or more years of experience.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and acceptable driving record.
Communicate in English, both orally and written.
Ability to travel and work for extended periods in different locations.

Responsibilities

You will work safely, complying with all company safety rules and policies, while assisting in the new construction or maintenance of energized and de-energized overhead work.
Support the installation or removal of overhead conductors, capacitors, regulators, transformers, transformer banks, lightening arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear.
Frame, install, or remove wood, steel, or concrete poles and supports.
Maintain company vehicles, equipment, rubber goods, PPE, and tools in good working order.
