Job summary

Dallas Theological Seminary is seeking an entry-level Network Infrastructure Technician I to support the campus IT backbone. This role assists in installation, maintenance, documentation, and troubleshooting of cabling, Telecom rooms, equipment racks, wireless infrastructure, and related systems under supervision.

Working with senior staff, you will learn industry best practices while supporting the Seminary's mission through dependable technology services.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Network Administration, or related discipline; or equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years of IT infrastructure, telecommunications, or cabling experience; internships or training may count.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining Telecommunication and Equipment Rooms.
• Install and label copper network cabling; assist fiber installation.
• Terminate and test copper cabling under supervision; install faceplates and patch panels.
• Rack and cable network equipment; perform basic connectivity tests.
• Respond to service requests and document work in the ITSM platform; follow change management.
