Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Entry-level networking certification (e.g., Juniper JNCIA) or willingness to obtain after hire.
• Exposure to network monitoring or management tools.
• Introductory experience with scripting (Python or PowerShell).
• Experience in higher education or large enterprise IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor enterprise network performance and availability using established tools.
• Respond to service requests and incidents related to wired and wireless connectivity.
• Troubleshoot network issues including physical connectivity, switching, and IP problems.
• Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment.
• Support SIP/IP Telephony systems and aid senior staff with telephony issues.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers following procedures.
