Job summary

Judson ISD Live Oak, Texas, seeks a Computer Technician I for the J-TECH program. The technician provides hardware and software support for district staff, installs and maintains low-voltage cabling, manages software deployments, and assists with troubleshooting to ensure reliable technology across campuses.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, an A.S. in networking or related field, CompTIA A+ preferred, and experience with cabling infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • A.S. in networking, computers, or equivalent schooling/work experience.
  • CompTIA A+ certification preferred.
  • Experience installing, terminating, troubleshooting and maintaining low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6).
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with supervisor and incident management for daily appointments.
  • Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cables.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and network connections.
  • Provide hardware/software support for district personnel.
  • Assist with SCCM management and remote systems as needed.
  • Must be able to work after hours or weekends when required.
  • Maintain district inventory and documentation.
