Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks entry-level skilled trades personnel to support weapon elevators and aircraft elevator systems on U.S. Navy ships in Chesapeake, VA.

The role involves diverse construction and maintenance tasks in an industrial, shipboard setting, with potential intra- and inter-state travel. Responsibilities include working from blueprints and manuals, performing routine trades duties, and collaborating with a team to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• High School education and 1 year of related experience, or Trade School or equivalent.
• Must have knowledge and/or experience using basic hand tools.
• Must have experience working in a team environment.
• Must have ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Must be able to obtain base access credentials within 60 days of hire and maintain them throughout employment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.

Responsabilités

• Under direction, performs routine work technical trades duties to include support of technical repairs and installations.
• Work from blueprints and tech manuals. Work assigned is typical of standard work assignments common to specialty trades.
• Applies job skills and company policies to complete a wide range of tasks that vary based on job, contract, customer requirements, specifications, etc.
• Performs semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of systems and equipment.
• Performs duties outside of regular duties in order to complete installation or work assignment.
