Job summary

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated seeks a Junior Budget Analyst to support NAS Norfolk, VA. You will assist with financial execution, ensure budget submissions meet DoD regulations, and help sustain naval aviation capabilities.

Requirements include a DoD Secret clearance, a BA/BS in a related field, 0–3 years of experience in finance or accounting, and strong Excel skills. The role offers a foundation in DoD financial management and program support.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in financial tracking, accounting, or data analysis.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn DoD financial management systems.

Responsibilities

• Review budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with NAVAIR procedures and federal regulations.
• Monitor, analyze, and reconcile budgeting and accounting reports to track execution metrics (commitments, obligations, and expenditures).
• Identify discrepancies in financial tracking spreadsheets and assist senior analysts in resolving variances.
• Compile and organize financial justification data, funding documents, and background information for program reviews and briefings.
