Job summary

ACET, Incorporated in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Junior Budget Analyst to support the F/A-18 variants program at NAS Norfolk. The role assists with financial execution, tracking program funds, and ensuring budget submissions meet DoD regulations.

You will work under the financial management team, gain DoD system exposure, and contribute to sustainment of naval aviation capabilities while pursuing a DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• BA or BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in financial tracking, basic accounting, or data analysis.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn Navy ERP and DoD financial management systems.

Responsibilities

• Review budget estimates for completeness and accuracy per NAVAIR procedures.
• Monitor and reconcile budgeting reports to track commitments, obligations, and expenditures.
• Identify discrepancies in financial tracking spreadsheets and assist senior analysts in resolving variances.
• Compile funding documentation for program reviews and briefings.
