Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated is seeking a Junior Budget Analyst to join the financial management team supporting the F/A-18 variants program at NAS Patuxent River. In this foundational role, you will assist with the financial execution and tracking of program funds, ensuring budget submissions are accurate, complete, and compliant with DoD regulations.

Qualifications

• Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in financial tracking, basic accounting, or data analysis.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn DoD financial management systems (such as Navy ERP).

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate budget estimates for completeness, mathematical accuracy, and conformance with NAVAIR procedures and federal regulations.
• Monitor, analyze, and reconcile budgeting and accounting reports to track execution metrics (commitments, obligations, and expenditures).
• Identify discrepancies in financial tracking spreadsheets and assist senior analysts in resolving variances.
• Compile and organize financial justification data, funding documents, and background information for program reviews and briefings.
