Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is hiring for entry level Manufacturing Extra Hand/Laborer positions at the Riverville Mill. The role covers a rotating 12-hour shift schedule (days, nights, weekends) with training across various mill duties.

Applicants should be open to overtime and holidays and meet basic qualification criteria. Expected to learn to operate routine machinery, measure parts, maintain logs, and follow safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
• Must be able to work entry-level jobs and be able to work in an industrial environment.
• Unpredictable 12-hour shift schedule including days, nights and weekends.
• Willingness to work overtime and on most holidays.
• Experience in industrial work such as manufacturing, logging, warehousing, heavy equipment operation, or construction.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Operates routine production machinery per prints and specifications.
• Performs routine activities to meet part quantities within specs and tolerances.
• Measures finished parts with precision tools to ensure function, quality, and cosmetic standards.
• Maintains logs and records of units produced; reports errors leading to rejects.
• Inspects equipment before use; makes basic adjustments and ensures proper setup.
• Keeps work area clean, safe, and orderly; follows safety regulations.
• Takes on additional duties as assigned.
