Job summary

Freeman Enclosure Systems is seeking a dependable Baffles Assembler with entry-level welding experience to join our Batavia, Ohio manufacturing team. The role requires basic MIG welding skills, reading tape measures, and following written and verbal instructions.

Ideal candidates have some welding exposure, attention to safety and quality, and the ability to work well in a team to meet production goals. High school diploma or GED preferred, with training in welding considered a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Welding, fabrication, or manufacturing coursework is a plus but not required.
• Entry-level welding training or technical school experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble prefabricated metal panels and structural components using MIG welding and bolt-on assembly methods.
• Perform tack and stitch welding using the GMAW/MIG welding process.
• Work with mild steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum.
• Use hand and air-powered tools (grinders, drills, cutting wheels, clamps).
• Read and interpret a tape measure; follow written instructions and blueprints.
• Position, align, and secure components during assembly.
• Inspect finished work to meet quality standards.
• Safely lift and maneuver components up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety policies.
• Collaborate with team to meet production schedules.
