Job summary

Abbott in Liberty, SC is seeking a dedicated assembler for the Cardiac Rhythm Management manufacturing area. The role involves electronic assembly, casting/coating, and mechanical assembly of medical devices, with attention to quality and process documentation.

You will work with microscopes and precision tools in a clean-room environment, follow GMP/ISO standards, and participate in continuous improvement while developing skills under supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Electronic assembly experience preferred.
• Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
• Willing to train with supervision, then moderate supervision.
• Basic computer skills and GMP/ISO awareness.
• Ability to read production documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Performs Electronic Assembly: assembles, welds, solders and x-rays medical devices and related parts.
• Performs Casting/Coating: examines devices after molding to locate defects and patches as needed.
• Performs Mechanical Assembly: kits, assembles, bonds, coats and processes devices and parts.
• May set-up/utilize special test equipment.
• Performs Packaging Functions: packages devices and reviews documentation.
• Maintains compliance with FDA and other regulatory requirements.
