Field walks and project meetings are part of the role. The position emphasizes growth, security clearance eligibility, and strong communication skills to support a variety of design tasks and documentation.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance.
• BSME degree from ABET-accredited program with strong background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, machine design or thermal systems.
• Knowledge of applying mechanical engineering principles to project design and analyses.
• Experience with producing calculations, reports and fabrication drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design engineering on a multi-disciplined project team.
• Produce engineering calculations/analyses, design drawings and reports.
• Apply mechanical engineering to the design and qualification of structures, systems and components.
• Produce procurement and construction specifications (Mechanical sections).
• Attend project meetings and perform field walk downs.
