A leading company is seeking an Entry Level Materials Testing Technician for a role based in White River Junction, Vermont. This full-time position offers extensive training and the opportunity to work on construction sites throughout Vermont and parts of New Hampshire, with a commitment to safety and professional growth.
Job Description
Salary: $19.50/hour entry level
We have a June 2025 opening for a full-time, Entry Level, Materials Testing Technician based at our White River Junction, Vermont office, working on construction projects throughout Vermont and parts of New Hampshire.
No experience necessary - we will train you and pay you while you learn. You will typically work Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work based on project needs. Expect early mornings, late evenings, and regular overtime during the construction season. Most days involve driving to construction sites and performing field tests on materials like concrete, soil, aggregate, asphalt, grout, mortar, and steel. You may be the only S.W.COLE team member on site but will interact with personnel from other companies. The work can be physically demanding: lifting samples, walking through sites, or pushing wheelbarrows. Year-round work includes safety protocols, and safety gear such as safety-toe boots will be provided.
Basic math skills, written or typed observations, and test results are required. You will regularly use a computer or tablet and learn to read design plans and specifications. When not in the field, you will work in our laboratory or undergo training for additional certifications.
