Laboratory Technician-Construction Testing-VT

Overview

We are currently accepting applications for a Laboratory Technician based at our office in White River Junction, Vermont. As a Laboratory Technician, you will work in the lab and in the field performing construction materials testing on samples of soil, concrete, masonry, asphalt, aggregate, and other materials related to construction projects, and reporting the results.

Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory and field tests on construction materials
  • Maintain and organize the laboratory
  • Visit field projects and pick up samples from clients and project sites
  • Read, learn about, and apply written testing standards
  • Work with other technicians, interns, and managers
  • Physical tasks such as lifting samples and equipment; occasional driving to sample sites
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to write or type observations and test results
  • Commitment to safety and proper equipment use
Training and Development
