United States Cold Storage, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Wilmington, IL. The role supports the maintenance department, performing preventive maintenance, painting, electrical, and refrigeration-related tasks in a cold-storage facility.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and prior maintenance experience. Responsibilities include handling forklift batteries, safety checks, and documenting work orders; compensation is $25/hour for a 40-hour week in a full-time,

Formación

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of general hand and power tools.
• Experience with preventative maintenance preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide general support to the maintenance department, filling in when training allows and approved to ensure continuity of operations.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, fostering collaboration, effective problem-solving, and strong working relationships with facility management and team members.
• Complete painting assignments as required, including working at heights and in cold temperatures.
• Maintain and replace forklift batteries, performing routine inspections and maintenance as needed to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including inspecting fire extinguishers, logging monthly equipment hours, and checking emergency lighting and eyewash stations.
• Conduct regular building maintenance to ensure facility cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Accurately complete work orders and maintain detailed documentation of all maintenance activities performed.
• Participate in training for various pieces of equipment to safely maintain, inspect, and potentially repair them.
• Support emergency response efforts as required.
• Successfully complete required annual emergency response physicals, including lung capacity and hearing tests as required.
• Individual technicians who show advanced ability may be asked to perform refrigeration tasks under supervision, provided appropriate training and certifications have been completed.
