Job summary

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities group seeks an entry level M/E Engineer 1 to support mechanical, electrical and field construction tasks. You’ll collect data, learn to develop estimates and assist with bid analyses while aligning with JE Dunn’s safety and quality standards.

You will grow in a collaborative environment, gaining exposure to budget development, system analysis, and constructability reviews across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering or related field is required.
• 0–2 years construction experience and/or internship/co-op preferred.
• Ability to read and understand plans, drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic M/E tools and software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Completes entry level and routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Learns to develop budgetary M/E estimates using program and schematic design data.
• Assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
• Gains knowledge of design documents to identify potential quality issues.
• Supports the commissioning process including checklists and functional testing.
