Job summary

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group seeks a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer 2 to perform routine M/E construction tasks and assist in data collection, estimates, and bid analysis. You will support the strategy and values of JE Dunn while growing in a diverse team.

The role involves developing budgetary M/E estimates, coordinating with project teams, and supporting commissioning with pre-functional checklists and testing procedures. This is an on-site position in Omaha, NE.

Qualifications

• 2+ years construction and/or engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field.
• Ability to read and understand plans, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Develop budgetary M/E estimates based on program and schematic design information using automated M/E estimating system.
• Review mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and perform systems analysis for select projects.
• Coordinate the bid process and develop ME scopes of work for coordination during procurement.
• Participate in commissioning and testing activities.
