Job summary

J.E. Dunn Construction Company is seeking a Project Engineer 1 for our Tempe, AZ project. This on-site role supports construction and field execution, following company standards, processes and tools to understand the building process and align with project strategy.

You’ll contribute to safety, QA/QC, estimating, punch lists, and coordination with trades, foremen, and the project team, building relationships while applying Lean practices on the job site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Entry level construction experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Supports on-site project team in monitoring crew size, materials, quantity and equipment.
• Participates in QA/QC planning to ensure quality for assigned tasks.
• Assists with estimating and change management, including quantity take-off.
• Works on site with project team to support various tasks and ensure progress.
• Participates in punch lists, city inspections, safety reviews and documentation prep.
• Posts drawings and specifications with latest information.
• Organizes and participates in project meetings, and disseminates documentation.
• Prepares daily/weekly reports and progress tracking for scheduling.
• Performs site observations and procures logs, deliveries tracking.
• Supports close-out activities and as-built documentation.
