Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) in Holland, MI is seeking an Entry-Level Lube Technician to join a friendly team and help keep guests safe on the road through preventive maintenance and excellent customer service. Through award-winning training, you’ll learn to change oil, check fluids, rotate tires, test batteries, inspect lights and wipers, and perform an 18-point maintenance check.

No automotive experience is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand training materials, safety procedures, and instructions.
• Stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• English reading, writing and speaking proficiency.

Responsibilities

When you join us as an Entry‑Level Lube Technician, your personal and professional goals will be fueled by a friendly and collaborative team environment. Together, we’ll help keep our guests safe on the road by providing top‑tier customer service, while performing preventative maintenance services for their vehicles. Your road to VIOC doesn’t require previous automotive experience. Through our award‑winning training program, we’ll teach you how to:

• Change oil
• Check and refill fluids
• Rotate tires
• Test and replace batteries
• Inspect and replace lights and wipers
• Perform an 18‑point maintenance check
• Other preventive maintenance services

Compensation:

$17.00 per hour
weekly pay.

From day one, you’ll get hands‑on training and support to thrive as a Lube Technician. All you need to do is bring your positive attitude, attention to detail, and passion for learning—and we’ll help you every step of the way. We seek team members with:

• Schedule flexibility (Weekend availability is likely, but we ensure you don’t work late nights or holidays)
• An eagerness to learn, a friendly attitude, and a desire to be part of a customer‑focused team
• This role requires the ability to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking

We expect you can:

• Stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Crouch, bend, twist, and work with your hands above your head
• Be comfortable working in a non‑climate‑controlled environment
