Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Carbondale, IL, is hiring entry-level Lube Technicians. You will learn to perform preventative maintenance and provide top-tier customer service under our award-winning training program; no automotive experience required.

You will rotate tires, check and refill fluids, change oil, test batteries, inspect lights and wipers, and complete an 18-point maintenance check, with opportunities to advance to a Service Center Manager within 18–24 months.

Job Overview

When you join us as an Entry‑Level Lube Technician, your personal and professional goals will be fueled by a friendly and collaborative team environment. Together, we’ll help keep our guests safe on the road by providing top‑tier customer service, while performing preventative maintenance services for their vehicles. Your road to VIOC doesn’t require previous automotive experience. Through our award‑winning training program, we’ll teach you how to:

• Change oil
• Check and refill fluids
• Rotate tires
• Test and replace batteries
• Inspect and replace lights and wipers
• Perform an 18‑point maintenance check
• And other preventive maintenance services

• This role requires the ability to review, read, and understand written and digital training materials, safety procedures, labels, and operational instructions
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking
• We expect you can: Stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds; Crouch, bend, twist, and work with your hands above your head; Be comfortable working in a non‑climate‑controlled environment
