Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a Customer Service Representative 1 to handle a high volume of customer inquiries by phone and email. You will schedule shipments, transfer data to our internal systems, and provide accurate quotes based on agreements.

Excellent communication skills are essential, and some prior transportation industry experience is preferred. Ideal candidates will have at least one year in customer service and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service experience (in person or by phone).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle hundreds of incoming customer inquiries via phone.
• Organize and schedule shipments for customers.
• Transfer information to the company’s internal system and maintain records.
• Prepare quotes and estimates for potential shipments.
• Answer simple billing inquiries and perform Freight Bill Corrections (FBCs).
• Educate customers on the company’s technology and self-service options.
• Monitor inquiries across phone, email, and website channels.
