Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking an entry-level Class C Lineman to build and repair overhead electrical distribution systems. You will work on energized or de-energized lines and report to a Foreman, with potential travel to job sites across states as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, climbing structures, operating line equipment, and readiness for outages or emergencies. This position may require working outside normal hours and joining an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant field experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair overhead distribution systems with safety first.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Work outdoors in varied conditions, including heat, cold, rain and wind.
• Operate bucket trucks and other line-equipment; support outage responses.
