Hobby Lobby in Annapolis, Maryland is seeking an Leave Representative to manage employee time-away programs. Responsibilities include handling FMLA, Military, and other state leaves, maintaining confidential records, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple statutes.

The role requires a four-year college education (preferred) and experience with leave administration, HRIS systems, and MS Office. Occasional Saturday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Four-year college education is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher is required in some cases.
• Experience with leave program administration (FMLA/ADA).
• Strong MS Office skills; familiarity with HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle all time-away demands, including FMLA, military, state orders, and individual leaves.
• Archive and maintain time-away and private clinical records.
• Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Disability Act, Paid Family Leave, and state regulations.
• Process leave of non-appearances; verify qualifications and issue warnings as needed.
• Respond to and document correspondence regarding time-away requirements.
• Provide guidance to store, local and regional administration for leave initiation and return.
• Coordinate with HR on governmental and ADA-related issues.
• Address benefits questions related to time-away.
• Prepare reports and conduct regular leave reviews.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
