Job summary

SGS North America Inc. in Wheat Ridge, CO is seeking an entry-level Lab Technician to join the Metals team.

The position runs Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, with overtime eligibility and Step Up program eligibility. The Lab Technician I will prepare samples with accuracy and precision in accordance with SGS' analytical SOPs, working both independently and as part of a team to meet daily production targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree in chemistry or similar science preferred.
• 1–2 years in analytical chemistry labs preferred.
• English language required.
• Basic math, reasoning and computer skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis according to SOPs.
• Operate, maintain, calibrate prep instruments.
• Assist with validation and MDL studies.
• Document technical information for lab operations.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook.
• Follow internal standards, policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
