Job summary

A leading Testing, Inspection, and Certification company in Wheat Ridge, CO is seeking an entry-level Laboratory Technician. The role involves preparing samples accurately following SOPs, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring production targets are met. Candidates must have a high school diploma and some experience. The position offers $22.50/hour with additional benefits, including a Step Up program for pay increases over 18 months.

Qualifications

Job Description

We have multiple entry-level technician positions available in Metals, General Chemistry, Extractions, and PFAS. We will fully train on all safety and sample prep processes. This position is also eligible for our Step Up program. You can earn an additional $1.50/hour over the course of 18 months.

We are offering the following shifts:

• Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
• Monday-Friday, 1:00pm-10:00pm (additional comp offered)
• Sunday-Thursday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Our Wheat Ridge, CO laboratory is looking for an entry-level Laboratory Technician to join their team! The Laboratory Technician will prepare samples with accuracy and precision in accordance to SGS' analytical SOPs. The Laboratory Technician works independently and as part of a team to meet daily production targets and ensure hold times and turnaround times are met. The Laboratory Technician always follows safe laboratory practices and maintains a safe working environment.



Job Functions

• After appropriate training independently prepare samples for analysis according to SGS’ analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies
• Performs routine operation, maintenance, calibration of prep instruments/equipment
• May assist with validation and MDL studies.
• Inputs and maintains technical information as needed to support the laboratory functions/operations.
• Maintains Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
• Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as required.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 0-2 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories or prior experience working with one’s hands (Required)
• Associates Degree in a Chemistry or similar scientific discipline and 1-2 years of years’ relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories (Preferred)
• Advanced English language skills (Required)
• Basic mathematical and reasoning skills (Required)
• Basic computer skills (Required)
• Ability to lift/carry/push or pull upwards of 25 lbs on a frequent basis (Required)

This position pays $22.50/hr, is eligible for overtime pay, and is eligible for the Step Up program.

In addition, your compensation package includes the following benefits:
