Cross Insurance seeks an entry-level Claims Advocate I to join our Claims Department in Armonk, NY. This role supports personal and commercial insurance claims, delivering exceptional service and maintaining accurate documentation.

You will input data into agency systems, coordinate with carriers, and keep clients informed throughout the claims process while building knowledge of coverages and claims-handling practices for a long-term career.

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Receive and process incoming personal and commercial lines claims.
• Input claim information accurately into agency systems and carrier portals.
• Document claim activity, communications, and status updates thoroughly and timely.
• Contact insurance carriers to report claims and ensure proper claim setup.
• Follow up with clients, adjusters, carriers, and third parties to obtain required information and documentation.
• Monitor open claims and maintain regular communication to ensure timely resolution.
• Assist clients with questions regarding the claims process and claim status updates.
• Review claim documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain electronic claim files and records in accordance with agency standards.
• Prioritize daily workload to meet deadlines and service expectations.
• Collaborate with account managers, producers, and agency staff to provide exceptional client service.
• Develop knowledge of personal and commercial insurance coverages and claims handling practices.
• Manage auto glass claims ensuring timely response and working with carriers on closure.
