Cross Insurance is seeking a motivated Claims Advocate I to join our Claims Department. This entry-level role focuses on helping clients with personal and commercial insurance claims, delivering exceptional service, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the process.

The successful candidate will be organized, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and committed to a positive client experience. Salary range for this entry-level position is $55k–$65k annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, communications or a related field.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Customer-focused mindset with a positive and professional demeanor.
• Obtain adjuster’s license within the first 90 days

Responsabilités

• Receive and process incoming personal and commercial lines claims.
• Input claim information accurately into agency management systems and carrier portals.
• Document claim activity, communications, and status updates thoroughly and timely.
• Contact insurance carriers to report claims and ensure proper claim setup.
• Follow up with clients, adjusters, carriers, and third parties to obtain required information and documentation.
• Monitor open claims and maintain regular communication to ensure timely resolution.
• Assist clients with questions regarding the claims process and claim status updates.
• Review claim documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain electronic claim files and records in accordance with agency standards.
• Support Claims Advocates and management with administrative and claim-related duties.
• Prioritize daily workload to meet deadlines and service expectations.
• Collaborate with account managers, producers, and agency staff to provide exceptional client service.
• Develop knowledge of personal and commercial insurance coverages and claims handling practices.
• Manage auto glass claims ensuring timely response and working with carriers on closure
