Job summary

Bowman Consulting is seeking an entry-level Designer I, I&C OG to join our team in Houston, TX. You will provide introductory technical design support for instrumentation and control systems, developing drawings and documentation under supervision.

You will assist engineers and designers, learn industry standards, and contribute to project deliverables while building proficiency in CAD and I&C practices. This role offers growth and hands-on experience in the Oil & Gas sector.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in engineering tech or related field.
• Entry-level with 0–2 years in instrumentation/controls drafting a plus.
• Familiarity with CAD drafting principles and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with CAD drafting of instrumentation and controls drawings per specs.
• Support senior designers in development, revision, and coordination of deliverables.
• Prepare instrument location plans, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and BOMs.
• Learn and apply company and industry standards for instrumentation systems.
• Contribute to design reviews and ensure design consistency.
