Job summary

2245 SE Acquisition Sub LLC is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician I to support routine HVAC maintenance calls under close supervision in Houston, TX. You will assist technicians, perform tune-ups, and inspect equipment to prevent issues while delivering solid customer service.

The role requires basic HVAC knowledge, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Flexibility for hours and a valid driver’s license are also expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with additional training and 0-2+ years’ experience in HVAC with technical training certification preferred.
• Must possess all valid licensing or certification as required by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental laws or regulations for the geographical work area
• EPA and safety certifications required
• Basic knowledge of HVAC fundamentals and related accessories
• Proficient mechanical aptitude and ability to operate tools and equipment
• Reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting electrical, refrigerant, and duct system issues in HVAC equipment
• Effective communication to resolve customer issues or concerns
• Strong time-management and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Able to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed
• Experience performing basic maintenance on HVAC equipment desirable
• Ability to climb and access HVAC units in attics/basements/crawl spaces
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and carry items up to 30 pounds
• Minimum Experience: 0 - 2 years
• Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance calls under general supervision
• Conduct routine tune-ups and maintenance on HVAC equipment and accessories
• Inspect equipment to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns
• Assist Service Technician in servicing HVAC equipment
• Record service details on handheld device and complete paperwork accurately
• Communicate with dispatch for status updates
• Promote products and services during customer visits
• Ensure company property and tools are maintained and accounted for
• Represent the company professionally and follow procedures
• Complete all duties as assigned
