You will perform safe operations of overhead lines, assist with transformers and switches, and maintain tools and vehicles. The job requires physical effort, ability to travel, and willingness to work in all weather and at heights.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in heavy equipment or line work.
• English reading and speaking ability.
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License permit within 60 days.
• CDL is preferred by the employer.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Willing to work outside in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work safely on construction, maintenance or repair of overhead transmission lines.
• String overhead wire and set poles and anchors.
• Assist with installing transformers, insulators, and switches.
• Assist in replacing fuses and clearing faulted circuits.
• Work around energized high voltage systems with caution.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
• Capable of rigging, hand lines, and lineman knots.
• Capable of working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE.
• Travel to different locations as required.
• Capable of basic bucket rescue/escape.
