Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an entry-level Heavy Equipment Operator to support construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical transmission systems. The role involves working at various locations with potential travel to another state based on customer demands, and requires strict adherence to safety practices around energized and de-energized lines.

Qualifications

• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized overhead work.
• Stringing overhead wire.
• Setting poles and anchors.
• Assists with installing transformers, lightning arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches and switchgear.
• Assists in replacing fuses in transformers and clears faulted circuits and systems.
• Frequently works with energized high voltage systems requiring skill and care to protect the lives of themselves and others.
