Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts at the Hyatt Regency Dulles in Herndon, VA is seeking a diligent maintenance technician. You will maintain all building systems and the building envelope to ensure guest safety, comfort, and energy efficiency in a busy hotel environment.

Key duties include preventative maintenance, basic repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry, and servicing the hotel pool. You will complete work orders, monitor energy use, and help keep the property presentable for guests

Qualifications

• Vocational training or certification in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Carpentry required.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Climbing, standing, walking, and routinely lifting 25–50 lbs with/without accommodation.
• Ability to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders to maintain hotel and quality standards.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks (e.g., room care).
• Check electrical systems and perform minor repairs.
• Repair or service hotel equipment including appliances, boilers, HVAC, pool equipment, plumbing.
• Maintain exterior and curb appeal and refurbish furniture or fixtures as needed.
