Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking an Entry Level Highway Engineer to join our Jacksonville, FL office. The successful candidate will assist with planning and design of transportation projects, supporting Senior Project Engineers in highway design tasks.

Requirements include a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, 0–4 years of experience, and proficiency with MicroStation, Geopak/OpenRoads/InRoads, AutoCAD, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• BSCE from ABET-accredited program.
• 0–4 years of relevant transportation engineering experience.
• Experience with design software such as MicroStation, Geopak, OpenRoads, InRoads, and AutoCAD preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills at all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop roadway horizontal and vertical alignments.
• Conduct roadside evaluation and design.
• Design maintenance of traffic plans.
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Develop technical reports.
